Easter Basket Paper Craft
A beautiful Easter basket craft, made from a printed template.
Easter is on the horizon and I’m pleased to say we have just added a new craft template to our Easter collection.
Today I have for you a beautiful Easter basket paper craft.
This fun kids’ craft is made from a three page template which you can find over in our Etsy store. It’s very low prep – just print the three page template, grab your supplies and off you go!
The finished baskets look beautiful on display. Alternatively, children can write a message on the basket and give this to a loved one as an Easter card.
What you will need
- Easter basket template (available on Etsy)
- colouring supplies
- scissors
- glue stick
How to make our Easter basket paper craft
Step 1
Print the template onto paper or card stock. Card stock is best if you have it as it makes the craft a bit sturdier (plus it won’t wrinkle so much if painting).
Step 2
Colour all the different parts of the craft.
We used colouring pencils, but crayons, markers or paint would work.
We opted for some pretty pastel springtime colours.
Step 3
Cut out the different parts of the craft. Younger children may need some help with the cutting here.
I would recommend not cutting out the area inside of the basket handle. (This is a great spot to write an Easter message if your child wants to gift this Easter basket to someone).
Step 4
Next it’s time to assemble.
First, put glue on the large glue tab on the basket handle.
Then, arrange the four eggs so that most of each eggs is showing above the glue tab (we want to be able to still see the eggs once the basket has been glued on).
Step 5
Put some extra glue on the the back of the basket (the top half only).
Align the basket so that the top of the basket is level with the top of the glue tab. You should still see the top of all the eggs. Press down.
Step 6
Finally, add the finishing touches: the bow and the flowers.
Glue these wherever you would like on the Easter basket.
And your Easter basket paper craft is complete!
